Long hot baths with St. Ives Swiss Vanilla Moisturizing Body Wash. A 13 and 1/2 oz bottle costs about $4.50 and is good for about 6 baths. Use a good healthy squirt. It’s kind of like bubble bath. I would soak 2 to 3 times per week. Be very careful standing up, if the treatment is making you light headed. Some Doctors recommend short showers to avoid lightheadedness.
Dove soap. Two bars for about $4.00
After my soak, I shower, and then I swab my entire body down with Jergens Soothing Aloe Relief Moisturizer, a 24 oz bottle costs about $5.50, or Suave skin therapy, Aloe with cucumber. 18 oz for $3.00.
For shampooing I use Suave Daily Moisture Shampoo. It was recommended by Hepatitis C Magazine. It costs about $4.00 for a 14 and 1/2 oz bottle
Dry patches of skin. DO NOT SCRATCH EVER!!! If I feel a dry patch or a little itch I put Lanacane lotion on immediately. If you do, the itch and rash will disappear almost overnight, but if you scratch it, it will get worse and worse overnight and you’ll be very miserable. It costs about $4.00 for one oz. Two tubes lasted my entire 48 weeks.
Cheer laundry detergent is dermatologist recommended and is much less irritating than Tide

I started using all of the above, at the beginning of my treatment, and didn’t have much of a problem. The Dr looked at my skin prior to treatment and said I had good skin and might not have serious skin problems. I took no chances and did the whole routine above with good results.
The long hot baths are a nice thing to do for yourself. I have read somewhere that it helps some people to tolerate the interferon better.
